Walls
- CAST-IN-PLACE RETAINING, GRAVITY & SOUND WALLS
From industrial dividers to mile-long sound walls: formed, poured, and cycled for speed without cutting corners.
Southern Structural builds cast-in-place walls for FDOT, municipalities, general contractors, and private developers across Central Florida. Our wall work covers everything from retaining systems for new developments to statewide gravity wall installations, all self-performed with in-house forming, steel, and pour crews.
We’ve delivered walls with vertical grade changes, curved roadway alignments, multiple elevation steps, and custom metal formwork, cycling forms daily to keep long sections moving without sacrificing alignment. Whether it’s a few hundred yards or five miles, we build it straight and on schedule.
Scope of Services
Our wall work covers cast-in-place retaining, gravity, and sound wall systems for public and private infrastructure projects throughout Florida.
We self-perform all formwork, rebar installation, and concrete placement in-house, no subcontracting the critical work. That means tighter schedules, cleaner coordination, and one point of accountability from mobilization to final pour.
- Retaining walls for commercial and residential development
- Gravity walls, statewide
- Sound and noise abatement walls
- Industrial divider and bin walls
- Vertical grade change and curved alignment work
- Custom metal and wood formwork systems
- Daily form-cycling for long-section efficiency
- FDOT and municipal spec compliance
Our Approach
Every wall project starts with a review of grade changes, alignment, and formwork strategy. Long sections mean cycling matters. We build our systems to pour daily without losing precision.
We don’t wait on subcontractors. Our crew handles forming, steel, and pour, so curved alignments, elevation steps, and grade changes stay exact from the first section to the last.
Featured Projects
-
Westside Blvd Walls, Davenport
Full-service design and construction in-house. Cycled two sets of forms to pour two sections daily, just shy of 1,000 yards of concrete, with vertical grade changes and curved roadway alignment. -
Gravity Walls, Statewide
Over 5 total miles of gravity wall installed across multiple counties and agencies, from small sections to walls over 8' tall, all cycled daily for efficient, on-schedule delivery. -
Aggregate Bin Walls, Wildwood
Over 500 yards of concrete for divider walls at a new concrete plant. All 12' walls poured monolithically with wood forms, cycled in approximately 3 days.
